Ars Nova fue fundado en 1979 y estuvo dirigido hasta 1995 por el director y compositor dan\u00e9s Bo Holten, cuyas ideas pioneras sobre un repertorio que abarcaba tanto m\u00fasica antigua como nueva ayudaron a establecer la posici\u00f3n del conjunto tanto en Dinamarca como internacionalmente. Desde principios de este siglo hasta 2023, el conjunto estuvo dirigido por Paul Hillier, quien con su firme visi\u00f3n art\u00edstica elev\u00f3 a Ars Nova Copenhagen al alto nivel en el que se encuentra hoy.
