ECHO Klassik for RIAS Kammerchor and Ensemble Blumina

We are pleased to announce that the RIAS Kammerchor and the Ensemble Blumina, represented in Spain by Mito Concerts, have been awarded the ECHO Klassik 2014 Award, considered the most important classical music prize in Germany.

The Ensemble Blumina has been awarded the prize for their recording “Previn/Françaix/Poulenc: Trios for Oboe, Bassoon and Piano” in the category “Best Chamber Music Recording of the year (20th/21st century)”. This CD, recorded with Musikproduktion Dabringhaus & Grimm, is the ensemble’s first recording.

The RIAS Kammerchor in cooperation with the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin and René Jacobs has been awarded two ECHO Prizes for the Best Choral and the Best Audiophile Multi Channel Recording of the year for their recording of J.S. Bach’s “St. Matthew Passion” published by Harmonia Mundi.
